Optimal Fusion is a fast paced direct response, internet marketing company based in Los Angeles. We are a direct response and affiliate marketing company looking for a solid LAMP Engineer for an on-site full-time position at our office in the Hollywood neighborhood.

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing development and integration tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and high-visibility environment. Provide new development tools for content tracking, deliverability and affiliate offer placements through the company's exclusive distribution channels. Analyze and maintain existing systems already in place. Identify areas to improve upon and develop new solutions accordingly.

Specific duties include:

• Develop and maintain modules within a multi-tiered PHP/MySQL architecture
• Build applications and modules per user defined and documented requirements
• Test and thoroughly quality control all source code individually and through peer code reviews
• Adhere to strict internal controls for security, development and deployment processes
• Provide usability and interface guidance to the creative team during the design phase as needed to ensure an optimal web user experience
• Maintain existing CMS sites and ensure cross-browser compatibility and functionality of custom Wordpress-based sites
• Identify opportunities to employ cutting-edge technologies & programming techniques to improve overall software functionality

Your Skills Include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred but not required. Relative work experience is acceptable.
• Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, AJAX, XML, Mootools/jQuery, Wordpress or other similar opensource CMS development
• Experience in shopping cart development and gateway transaction processing
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and efficiently create solutions.
• Experience managing offsite development teams
• Cross-browser compatible output, adherence to web standards and SEO best practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, namely Word, Excel, Outlook
• HTML5 & CSS3 knowledge, Facebook API integration, mobile site development are major pluses
• Excellent communication skills
