Optimal Fusion (www.OptimalFusion.com) is currently seeking a Director of Sales to grow, build, and extend our current sales team. This position will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing new and existing sales reps as well as promoting Optimal Fusion's suite of marketing tools to prospective clients.

Optimal Fusion is an internet marketing company focused on developing and delivering ROI driven internet-based direct marketing campaigns for major brands. Optimal Fusion combines the power of three ROI focused advertising platforms including a CPA based affiliate network, a number of internal web properties (i.e. www.weeklysauce.com, www.TheHealthCast.com, www.PlayDate.com, www.DegreesMatch.com, etc), and a syndicated lead generation platform.

Job Description

As the Director of Sales, you will be tasked with providing team leadership and direction to the sales team, ensuring successful achievement of revenue goals, building client relationships, and generally representing Optimal Fusion in the online marketplace.

Responsibilities

This position will be immediately responsible for hiring and training a number of new sales reps in multiple regions to augment the current sales team.

Execute strategy that results in revenue growth with agencies and direct advertisers while cultivating a team that strongly believes in our corporate sales strategies and goals.

Exceed personal and sales team quarterly revenue goals. Oversee current accounts while breaking new key accounts.

Successful candidates will be self-starters, exhibit confidence, and posses a broad understanding of the online advertising world. Successful candidates should have a deep understanding of the affiliate marketing world, as well as site representation, and overall sales experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 3-4 years of online ad sales experience meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
  • Multiple years of experience selling for a major publisher, portal, or ad network, as well as a strong book of business and established relationships with major agencies and advertisers. Management experience is a major plus; although we're also open to senior salespeople who have multiple years experience on a sales team and are ready to make the jump to the director position.
  • A strong track record of cultivating relationships with agencies and direct marketers. Please do not apply for this position if you do not have experience pitching major tier 1 advertising agencies.
  • Experience with or understanding of Coregistration is a major plus, but not a requirement.

We are looking for an Affiliate Manager to join our rapidly growing team who are located in Hollywood area of Los Angeles. Working under the direction of our CEO, you will have considerable influence in the ongoing development of our campaigns and marketing materials. We need someone who is self-motivated and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

The Affiliate Marketing Manager will play an important role in driving customer acquisition programs. The manager will maintain ownership over management, optimization and growth of search and affiliate programs.

Duties include:

  • Manage affiliate program to recruit new affiliates and increase performance from existing affiliates through new or revised programs (including negotiation of affiliate partnerships, launch support, conversion tracking etc.)
  • Providing day to day leadership and direction to the affiliate marketing team, while effectively communicating with other internal teams
  • Develop strong personal relationships with top Affiliate in all online markets.
  • Target new sites.
  • Submit Affiliate program to major affiliate directories/portals.
  • Keep on top of Affiliate Marketing trends and best practices.
  • Actively manage programs across the Web.
  • Coordinate the launch of new Affiliate Programs in new markets.
  • Coordinate the production of creatives (banners, contextual ads, landing pages), including tailored creative for top Affiliates.
  • Maintain content on affiliate web page.
  • Identifying opportunities for strategic partnerships and coordinating these relationships.
  • Produce monthly reporting and analysis for internal distribution.
  • Analyze weekly results to feed ongoing campaign optimization tactics.
  • Ongoing competitive analysis of “industry best” programs.
  • Ongoing review of reports and look for ways to improve program.
  • Researching other affiliate offerings to ensure we remain competitive.
  • Track/Report on Affiliate Commissions and down lines traffic and activity.
  • Track and report on any fraudulent activity (e.g. fake clicks/sales etc.)
  • Develop content to promote program on company websites and various locations on the web.
  • Assist in managing ongoing acquisition programs to improve conversion.
  • Drive business recommendations based on the tracking and analysis of customer behavior.
  • Work closely with product marketing, product management, creative services and web development to implement programs.
  • Developing a schedule of promotions for groups of affiliates and communicating these offers with the affiliate base.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-4 years of experience with affiliate and search marketing.
  • Prior job experience at an affiliate network is a must.
  • Prior job experience at an online product sales is a must.
  • A highly results oriented, articulate, decisive, self-starter who energizes people around him/her.
  • Ability to learn new markets quickly, comfortable dealing with fast paced environments.
  • Strong sales skills and ability to work with marketing team is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with business modeling.
  • BA or BS preferred.
